LabVECTOR VPURE gas purification systems
LabVECTOR VPURE gas purification systems are designed for purifying inert gases (nitrogen, argon, helium) in glove boxes and similar setups (titanium welding chambers, SLM 3D printers) from traces of oxygen and moisture to values of less than 1 ppm. Optional organic solvent vapor removal unit can be included. VPURE systems utilize a regenerable combined chemisorption purification method with sealed columns of absorbents. The regeneration is fully automated. When operating with a glove box, VPURE system also performs the following functions: measuring oxygen concentration, measuring water vapor concentration, controlling the pressure in the box, controlling the box lighting system, controlling the gate operation (if the gate is equipped with electromagnetic or electro-pneumatic valves), controlling the thermal vacuum treatment in the gate. VPURE gas purification systems are developed by LabVECTOR and manufactured in Hamburg using high-quality materials and components from leading global manufacturers.
Main areas of application of VPURE gas purification systems:
- Work with lithium, sodium, and chemical power sources in glove boxes.
- Work with organometallic substances.
- Packaging, experimentation with hygroscopic substances: salts, alkalis, hydrides, etc.
- Chambers for welding titanium alloys.
- 3D printing setups using metal powders.
Features and Benefits:
- The largest volume and capacity of oxygen and moisture absorbers among similar models on the market.
- Patented tank design with U-shaped gas flow absorbers provides higher gas purification in each pumping cycle compared to competitors.
- Patented cyclic regeneration method provides higher absorber recovery compared to competitors.
- Each tank with absorbers is heated by four independent heaters, providing high fault tolerance.
- Two independent temperature sensors on each column.
- Fully electromagnetic valves are used on systems up to VPURE 220 (compressed air supply or inert gas sampling is not required), while electropneumatic valves are used on systems starting from VPURE 230.
- Control algorithm for gas blower rotation frequency with feedback on oxygen and water vapor concentration reduces power consumption and noise level during low gas release inside the box.
- Simple user menu in English and German languages, maximum automation of processes.
- Graphs of concentration, temperature, and pressure are displayed on the screen.
- Mobile control module with a touch screen can be installed in a convenient location.
- Automatic system restart after power outages (the installation will continue to operate in the previously set mode upon power restoration).
- Pressure control system in the cleaned volume is active during unit regeneration.
- Wide range of customization options for customer equipment specifications (performed by LabVECTOR engineers).
- Modular design allows for ordering of specific configurations and options for individual tasks.
- Fast delivery, 12 weeks for the VPURE 110 model (depending on the configuration).
Various configurations are available for ordering, including oxygen and moisture gas analyzers, gas coolers, and other additional equipment.
The functions of the VPURE control system are:
- Automatic control of gas cleaning cycle in the glove box.
- Automatic regeneration of oxygen and moisture absorbers.
- Pressure control in the glove box.
- Automatic gas replacement in the airlock (for airlocks with electromagnetic or electro-pneumatic valves).
- Processing and display of indicators from gas analyzers for oxygen, moisture (supporting sorption and Coulometric sensors) and organic solvent vapors.
- Control of thermal vacuum treatment cycles in airlocks equipped with this function.
- Automatic pre-purge of the glove box before starting the gas cleaning system.
- Logging and display of environmental parameters in the glove box as graphs.
- Remote control of the glove box (when ordering the corresponding option).
- Control of lighting in the glove box.
All versions of the VPURE series precision gas cleaning systems use high-quality catalysts and molecular sieves produced by the German company BASF, Southland Sensing (USA) oxygen concentration measurement systems, and durable vacuum pumps.
